Message from the President of AICI SAS
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2010 Association of Image Consultants International South Asia -Singapore Chapter (AICI SAS) Education Conference in Manila, Philippines. This year’s theme: “Shift Your Image Career into High Gear” promises a conference that will advance your professional skills and propel your business to success!
Come to the conference and learn from expert image and business trainers from around the world, form strategic business alliances, earn CEUs towards certification and best of all experience the support and friendship of people in your industry from Asia and beyond. The SAS conference is a regional event with a global perspective. It meets your professional needs right here in Asia-Pacific.
The image industry is relatively young in Asia-Pacific. As it grows it is essential that we each play our part in promoting its professionalism through our certification and continuing education, as well as involvement in the wider image industry. AICI SAS is committed to serving our industry by providing you excellent education and experience through education days and conferences. 50% of our members are based out of Singapore, scattered throughout Asia, and even in Africa and the Middle East. Working hand-in-hand with an outstanding group of dedicated members in Manila and with fellow AICI chapters, SAS has organized an exciting event which reflects our regional outlook.
Many people have worked to make this extraordinary conference happen for you. Our talented, hardworking members in the Philippines, including our Manila-based VP Communications and Conference Chair Olen Juarez-Lim, our Australian counterparts in Melbourne and Sydney, the Asia region chapter presidents, our SAS conference representatives in India, Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam and of course our amazing SAS board, committee members and assistants. Our heartfelt thanks go to them.
A bouquet of thanks and appreciation to our valued speakers Imogen Lamport, Lynne Marks, Raju Mandhyan, the SAS speakers lead by Christina Ong and Pang Li Kin, and Sonya Barnes, who have kindly given their time and expertise and travelled great distances to speak at our conference. Your generosity has made a difference that has imprinted you on our minds as friends of the image industry.
Finally, thank you to our SAS members and friends of SAS for your support of AICI and the SAS chapter - for taking part of this conference and our other events and for volunteering your time to help.
